The Path to Corporate Nirvana

The Story: Judith Anderson had a terrific manuscript based on her work as a successful corporate consultant. She had a working title that represented what she saw as the theme of the book—something about Tryannicalsaurus Rex and the End of the Patriarchal Era. While that title captured part of what the book is about, it didn’t seem to me to really express either the real benefit of the book or the essence of Judith’s unique approach to attaining success in the corporate world with grace and ease. We worked with her and came up with a whole new approach for the title and promoting the message of the book.

Making Work Really Work

While there's probably plenty at the office that works just fine, is there also back-stabbing, sideways elbowing, dismissing others and their ideas, badmouthing and not “stepping up to the plate?" These often-encountered behaviors cause information, ideas and support to be withheld. That, in turn, dampens passion, and stifles creativity, which results in diminished productivity.

But what if these behaviors were trail-markers, and if you knew how to read the signs they would point the way to accelerated productivity. Revolutionary thinking? You bet. And that's just what it takes to make revolutionary progress.

Step onto the path to corporate nirvana. Discover new skills that accelerate productivity—including the ability to use them even while trailblazing. Applying these capabilities, you will:

• Spot, then naturally transform, unproductive behaviors so you avoid the trauma and drama that undermine the best results, and instead effect aggressive results with grace and ease

• Create an environment where everyone contributes, all whole-heartedly pulling in the same direction

• Advance to the vanguard of the paradigm shift to accelerated productivity, And much more

Once on this path, you and those you work with enjoy enthusiasm, a positive outlook, the expectation of success, and a heightened willingness to go for the big goals. The experience of corporate nirvana is one of walking through the office door to be with people you care about, to do work that is important, and to express your full passion, talent, creativity, and ideas.

And that is truly creating heaven at work.

Flap Text:

The Transformation to Corporate Nirvana

Working in an environment where you can see ways to accelerate productivity and increase effectiveness, but think you can't effect them, is arguably the primary reason for job frustration. It makes work less than the exciting and rewarding experience it can be, and adds unnecessary time, drains resources, and makes every activity more stressful.

Now Judith Anderson brings her extensive experience in consulting with Fortune 500 companies and an uncanny insight into behavior in the corporate environment, and shows how to transform workplace frustrations into corporate nirvana. She deals with some of the most prevalent behaviors and attitudes, from patriarchal CEO's who say they want honest feedback and then punish those who tell the truth, to corporate cultures where the attitude is "it will never change around here." With fascinating real-life vignettes she illustrates how to turn such situations around so you can tap the dormant wellspring of creativity and productivity.

The real magic of the book, though, is that in her uniquely engaging style, Judith illustrates how unconscious sabotaging behaviors can be overcome. She lets you inside her head and heart to experience the process of transformation to positive results and greater productivity. And she does it so smoothly that you easily and naturally integrate the keys into your own management style.

This is a book that will have you heading into work each day with a smile.
